About Amare

Amare Montessori advocates for a holistic developmental model of education that has been successfully developed and refined in Montessori classrooms for over 100 years. Nestled on 21 acres of wooded land in the heart of Clarksville, Tennessee, Amare is an accredited Montessori school serving students 18 months to 15 years.

Our Programs

Our Programs

Our programs range from age 18 months to 14 years old, and we have 3 age groupings. Toddler, primary, elementary, and adolescent.

Adolescent

The Amare Adolescent program is the culmination of the child’s experience as an Amare Montessori student. Students are expected to bring a high level of independence and self-direction, a comfort with collaborative work, and a love of learning for learning’s sake.

Elementary

The child works within a philosophical system asking questions about the origins of the universe, the nature of life, people and their differences, and so on.  On a factual basis, interdisciplinary studies combine geological, biological, and anthropological science in the study of natural history and world ecology.

Fattoria

Fattoria, the Italian word for “farm,” is intended to be a collaborative effort of caring for the land, cultivating it in sustainable ways, and using what is produced to give back to the community will engage students in environmental stewardship and sustainable activities.

Primary

Primary classrooms are peaceful, beautiful, and orderly learning environments. Our children learn with multi-sensory, hands-on Montessori materials. Our Montessori-trained teachers guide students individually through the curriculum.  Children develop independence, self-motivation, and confidence while becoming responsible community members.

Toddler

A toddler class begins the educational process during the sensitive period for language and movement, from ages 18 – 36 months. In this class, toddlers are encouraged to independently explore and make choices in a safe environment.  Toddlers are given many opportunities for learning, including learning to care for their own needs and the needs of the classroom.
